Hi everyone!
Well...both the bridal showers are now over and were loads of fun. Early August my sister, along with mom's two good friends (and my second mothers), hosted a family shower for my aunts and cousins. It was great to see everyone! This weekend was the friends/Andrew's family shower in Waupaca, hosted by Nikki (Maid of Honor) and Dana (bridesmaid). It was fun...and comical to see me decked out in the honeymoon suitcase items....After the shower, the bridesmaids ventured to the Wellness Spa in Stevens Point for an afternoon of pampering and positive energy. We had massages, hand dips, snacks, and did a group tai chi class.
In the meantime, Andrew trekked to Cabellas....a couple hundred dollars later and a truck full of purchases he returned home a happy man! Watch out deer and ducks!
We are focusing on final wedding and reception details now and are looking forward to celebrating with everyone on our day when we become husband and wife!
As a final note, I realize I forgot to include the phone number for the hotels on the invite so here they are: Best Western - (715) 258-9212 and Village Inn (about 1/2 mile from the Best Western towards business district on Hwy 54) - (715) 258-8526. Rooms are blocked off at both hotels. One other hotel very close, but not with blocked off rooms is the Comfort Suites-Foxfire (about 1/2 mile from Best Western heading out of town towards Wis. Rapids) - (715) 942-0500.

Here it is...
Well, it's finally here...our wedding BLOG!
Things are going well with the planning. The date was the first thing decided: October 16, 2010. Ceremony and reception locations are secured, the little white dress is ordered, and the wedding party notified. The ceremony will be at Willow Pond Bed and Breakfast and the reception at the Best Western in Waupaca. Music is now taken care of for ceremony and reception. I am in the process of finalizing plans with the cake maker and flower designer. I have ideas for table decorations along with a display for the reception hall. We go to look for Andrew's ring in about a week. Plans for bridal shower/bachelorette party are coming along-thanks to Nikki! So we are well on our way.
Engagement pictures were very fun to take. Rachel did such a great job and found a few fabulous spots around Waupaca for neat photos! Some of them are posted on both of our Facebook pages.
Please continue to watch the blog as the date gets nearer. We will post information regarding ceremony in case of inclement weather.
